Too much healthy food can kill you

Water is essential to life and we need to consume it in order to stay healthy, but when too much is ingested, it has been known to kill. It drove home when the dizziness and sick feelings made me involuntarily take it easy. Sometimes my legs were heavy and tired from walking while I felt my arms being pulled from their sockets. The only respite for me was doing more in the park with frequent brakes.

During the cold winter months, it’s only natural to turn to good green leafy vegetables and the often touted superfood. It was a matter of pride and joy to thin them out in abundance. bok choy, which grows so fast that one can pluck the leaves every day while they bloom. kale, which doesn’t seem to be a problem growing, and spinach, which is my favorite.

Almost since the beginning of winter they have become my nightly staples. Knowing the benefit they provide through their superabundance of essential elements and vitamins, a short burst of microwave heat made them ready to eat.

After the night meal, it’s nice to pamper my stomach with yogurt and blueberries. Delicious and Moroccan even the cats are in front of them to lick the plate. Almonds have been another staple recommended by nutritionists for a healthy gut.

So with all this goodness inside why would my body fail me. Tired muscles, nausea, and then dizziness often sent me into a chair.

Doctors, naturopaths, naturopathic instructors, and others have suggested various causes. From stones in the ears to a damaged shoulder everything was suggested but nothing seemed appropriate.

As a spiritual person I naturally consult spirit for answers and they came thick fast. I looked at bok choy waving its pretty leaves amidst the other amazing foods that hit me. What about those veggies that can make me sick.

It was like intoxication where my mind becomes cloudy and then my body feels hesitant. Led to the Internet, and soon the mystery was solved.

While bok choy, kale, spinach, etc. are superfoods that contain ingredients that prevent cancer growth and even prevent diabetes, they also contain a high amount of potassium. The symptoms of too much of this element exactly match mine. Lethargy, nausea and dizziness are part of it. Almond milk and nuts are also full of it, as are milk and other staples, including eggs.

The danger of having too much potassium leads to heart attacks and other things. Lesson learned that too much of a good, healthy food can actually kill you. The Great Spirit protected me again, as all spiritualists do. All one needs to do is ask him as a friend to get answers and he rarely lets you down.
